Spring Fashion Wishlist

As much as I love Autumn and Winter I always get pretty excited once the weather becomes slightly more warmer and the evenings start getting lighter, as it means Spring is finally on the way. After months of wearing dark colours and heavy patterns, I always like to inject a bit more colour into my wardrobe, whether that be through subtle pastel pieces or full on floral patterns, as well as tending to go for quite a boho vibe...

Midi skirts are the best seasonal transition piece in my opinion, and there are so many different styles available at the moment, but my favourite is this pleated one from New Look, as the pretty pink floral pattern is perfect for either a casual or dressed up look in Spring. I would pair it with this pale pink lace top, also from New Look, which would still be a great cover up for the slightly chilly spring weather.

Cropped trousers are my go to item to wear throughout Spring and Summer, and this denim pair from Topshop is a great alternative to skinny jeans in the (hopefully) warmer months, especially paired with these Seventies style tan ankle boots from Next. These boots would also go pretty well with this floral printed dress, which is also seventies style- can you spot a theme in the wishlist? Sticking with the boho inspiration, I love this Asos embroidered jacket, which is the perfect Spring cover up and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

As for accessories, this small coral bag adds a slight pop of colour into any outfit, perfect for holding all your everyday essentials, and I love this floppy wide brimmed hat- great for bad hair days!

What is on your Spring Wishlist?

My Everyday Makeup Routine

As I have been pretty much wearing the same makeup look for a while now, I thought I would share my everyday makeup routine and the products that I have been using on a daily basis. Whilst a lot of these products have been repurchased multiple times and stayed in my makeup bag for a very long time, a couple of them are new additions, but have quickly become part of my everyday routine.

For my base, I start with the L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream as a primer, as it is great for smoothing out the skin tone, and since using it I have noticed a massive difference in the staying power of my makeup, which is a blessing for my combination/oily skin. I then blend the Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation onto my skin using a beauty blender, before applying the Seventeen Stay Time Concealer to any blemishes or redness and the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer underneath my eyes to brighten up the whole under eye area. I then set all of this in place with the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, which provides a little bit more coverage as well as keeping my makeup in place throughout the day.

To fill in my eyebrows I use an angled brush and Mac eyeshadow in the shade Charcoal Brown (which I seriously need to repurchase) as I find it to give the most natural look. Eyeshadow tends to be the thing that I switch up the most, but at the moment I am using Mac eyeshadows in Mineralism (a shimmery, silver taupe) all over the lid, and Showstopper (a cool-toned dark matte brown) blended into the crease. I then tightline with the Soap & Glory Smoulder Kohl eyeliner and line my upper lash line with Bourjois Liner Feutre in Ultra Black. I then apply Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, which is a recent discovery but has become a new favourite as it makes my lashes super long and fluttery.

At the moment I am keeping it quite simple on my cheeks, using my Dior Rose Diamand as both a blush and a highlighter, as it gives such a pretty rosy glow to the apples of my cheeks. For my lips I'll apply one of my numerous lip products, which recently has been the Revlon Lip Butter in Juicy Papaya.

What are your favourite everyday makeup items?

My Bucket List

I love making lists of future goals and endeavours and so after one of my friends showed me her bucket list last year I started thinking about everything that I would like to have done or achieved before I die. I have actually written a physical bucket list in my journal, but thought I would share it today as a fun blog post as I personally love reading other people's dreams and ambitions. I actually have quite a mix of goals on my list, some that are much more achievable than others, as well as a couple that I have already actually ticked off.

So without further ado, here is my bucket list...

  1. Visit every state of the USA
  2. Learn how to drive
  3. Complete a half marathon
  4. See my favourite band in concert
  5.  Own an Elie Saab dress
  6. Go on a Submarine
  7. Get Married
  8. See a Broadway show
  9. Watch sunrise and sunset at the beach
  10. Get a tattoo
  11. Be in the audience for a live taping of The Big Bang Theory
  12. Have a walk in wardrobe
  13. Learn how to play at least one song on the piano
  14. See the walk of fame
  15. Become friends with someone from another country
  16. Go on a safari
  17. Get my dream job
  18. Live to see cancer cured
  19. Fly first class at least once
  20. Pass my A-levels
  21. Learn how to make a dress
  22. See the Northern lights
  23. Travel the world with someone I love...whether that is a family member, partner or friend
  24. Get a PhD
As you can see I actually have quite a small bucket list, but I feel that most of my goals are fairly realistic to achieve. I have actually ticked off two of my goals as I have already been on a Submarine on holiday in Lanzarote and I also passed my Biology, English literature and Psychology A Levels last year. I love the idea of having a list like this of goals and ambitions, and I may even do a summer or blogging bucket list as well this year.

I hope you enjoyed this blog post and I'd love to know some of the things on your bucket list,

Megan
