Autumn Fashion Wishlist

Autumn Fashion Wishlist

Autumn is my favourite season and one of the reasons I love it so much is the fashion choices available during this time of the year. After having a bit of a clear out of all of my old summer clothes, I decided it was time to add some more seasonally appropriate autumnal clothing and accessories, with these ones being at the top of my wishlist...

As the weather is becoming colder, it is necessary to invest in a couple of cover-ups. I have wanted a trench coat like this for ages, as the classic style instantly smartens up any outfit, yet can also be worn quite casually. As well as this, this check fringed blanket wrap is cosy and warm, making it also ideal for the autumn weather.

As you can probably tell, black and white are my favourite colours to wear during Autumn, as they are a pretty failsafe combination. This white stripe shirt from Newlook is a classic way to wear monochrome, and would be perfect paired with ripped jeans, a tartan scarf and ankle boots, or even these Topshop black dungarees. I'm loving dungarees at the moment, and as I already own a light blue pair, these black ones would make a slightly more autumnal outfit.

As I live in jeans about 90% of the time, I am always looking for something a bit different to step out of my comfort zone and these red dogtooth printed trousers are exactly that. As they are tailored, they are quite smart, yet the hint of red makes them perfect for Autumn.

In terms of accessories, hats are a great addition to an autumn outfit, and I think this khaki fabric hat would bring any outfit together. Lastly, it wouldn't be an autumn wishlist without a pair of boots, and whilst I usually play it safe by choosing a black or tan pair, these snakeskin printed ankle boots are calling my name, as I think they would instantly make a simple outfit more interesting.

 What's on your autumn wishlist?
